Domaine Grier L'Aqueduc

This is a L’Aqueduc from Domaine Grier in Roussillon. Jeff Grier and his family are world renowned winemakers.  They are producing wines from Carignan, Grenache and Syrah in their French estate in Roussillon, and this is an example.

It is a young and vibrant wine and it has got great aromas. Really fresh with cherry and a little touch of aniseed.  All of those flavours follow through to the palate. You have got that aniseed coming through really balancing well with the cherries and blackcurrant coming from the fruit.

Really fantastic flavour and would be perfect with the traditional foods from the region - steaks, beef, stews - lots of red meat flavours. It is a really good wine to put with red meat.
